At the airport

If you travel for business or vacation you will probably go through an airport. It is important to arrive at least an hour before your scheduled departure. You will have to go through a lot of security before you are allowed on the airplane. It is unavoidable.

There are many ways to get to the airport. There is a train with quick service from downtown next to the parking garage. The suburban bus system also has a stop near the parking lot. Curbside waiting is prohibited at most airports. If someone is dropping you off you can go to the Kiss ‘n’ Fly area and take a shuttle train to your terminal.

If you drive yourself, there is remote parking, which is inexpensive that you can use for a week or longer. Once you’re arrived, you will need to check your bags. Outside the terminals there are porters who will help you. You should tip them. If you prefer you may check your own bags at the airline counter. There you will also get yours boarding pass.

Next you will go through security. You must remove your shoes, belts, and any metal. You must put all your belongings in a bin so they can be x-rayed. You will walk through a metal detector or body scanner. If you don’t set off the alarms you can retrieve all your things and go to your gate to wait to board your flight. Enjoy your flight!

No aeroporto

Aproveite o voo!
