Take
Take é uma ação que se faz “de cá para lá”, ou seja, levar.
Take — Levar

Took — Levou
I can take you to work. It’s raining. — Eu posso te levar para o trabalho. Está chovendo.
I’m taking my son to school now. — Eu estou levando o meu filho para a escola agora.

Get
Get significa ir até algum lugar e trazer algo de lá, ou seja, pegar.
Get – Pega
Getting – Pegand
Got – Pegou
Can you go outside and get the mail? — Você pode ir lá fora e pegar a correspondência?
She’s getting her jacket in the back seat. — Elas está pegando a jaqueta no banco de trás.
